Welcome!

One Deep Breath
Newsletter Welcome
"There is nothing I want but your Presence. In friendship, time dissolves."
Welcome to the first email newsletter! I am grateful, and happy you are here.
"One Deep Breath" is a weekly mindful newsletter that brings heart connected content straight to your inbox. Each edition features easy to read insights, and personally practiced tools to share and support you in deepening your felt connection to the present moment and the wonders of the world around you.
Through sharing personal life experiences, learnings and takeaways, my intent is to share with this intimate community, practices I am finding helpful to slowing down and being present to our lives. It is from this place, I trust our most creative work will have space to flourish.
One of the practices I am finding helpful on my journey is bringing non judgemental awareness and curiosity towards the ways that parts of my mind are pulling me out of the present.
It's in paying compassionate attention to what's pulling us away, that allows us to relax and return into our life.
Alongside presence content, I will include topics related to what IFS (Internal family Systems) refers to as "Parts Work", the parts of ourselves that have positive intentions in planning and preparing ourselves for the future, but when left unattended to can contribute to a busyness of mind, leaving us feeling disconnected from our lives.
As an initial welcome, I want to share with you the concept of parts work, through a Free 5 Part Blog Series I created A Beginners Guide to IFS (Internal Family Systems) a model brought to life by Family systems Therapist Dick Schwartz.
You can start exploring the first week of the series here!

In this series it includes an overview of Parts Work, and also self paced exercises that help you to get curious in deepening your own connection to parts, and Self Understanding.
Presence Practice Invitation: Neighbourhood Walk
Allocate time for a presence stroll through a familiar neighbourhood. It may be alone or shared with someone close to you. Without needing to change, alter, improve or have.
Identify 3 new qualities of your surroundings you can appreciate by simply paying non judgemental attention and noticing.
Richness is not in how much we have, but in how we learn to allow ourselves to open, let in and feel the fullness of life around us.
May you breathe a little softer today,
Greg
